New School Year (6B/C) 2013-2014
Now that you have been in school for the past three weeks, how do you feel about six grade thus far?
I feel like it's really difficult to get use to, because we've been cooped up in one classroom 6 doggone years, and then we have tons of teachers, and piles of homework. I've met tons of friends (which is great), but I'm not loving 6th grade YET. ~Dasia From 6B
Thus far, my school year has been very good. I enjoy my teachers and the building, and have been making new friends. I find the work fairly easy, but I don’t think it will stay that way for very long. We may have lots of homework, but I know it is supposed to help me.
This has been a great year for me 3 weeks has been a lot and I love during work for Ms. Lavender it sure is fun and I am looking for this school year are you
This far I've been learning , and liking my classes a lot. It has been challenging but I learn from my challenges and mistakes. I’m looking forward to this year , and I hope to have fun.
Thus far this year has been really challenging, but now I know its going to be hard if I don't pay attention. I am trying to get back on track for the two weeks I missed. I am trying get back to a successful year.
This school year has been awesome. I have made new friends and have became better friends with my old ones. The only thing that is messed up is that we have so much homework everyday!!!!
I love this school year because I like being able to change classes and learn new things. I’ve met a lot of people and it’s very nice at W.J.C. I hope to have a good school year.
So far 6th grade has been a pain, but I’m still making it. The hardest part of this school year is remembering all the homework we have to do. (That stuff is crazy hard, man!) So the school year thus far has been a drag, but I know I’ going to make it, if it’s the last thing I do this school year.
My school year thus far has been fun. I have made new friends and did things I have never done before. All of my teachers are nice and they all are friendly. My work is a challenge and I like that. I also love being at a school with people as smart as me. It’s a little hard getting used to changing classes and having lockers with combination locks on them. I think I will like this school.
Thus far I have had a great sixth grade year since I’ve been at W.J. Christian School. I have met new people, made new friends and also my teachers are very nice. My sixth grade year has been good so far because of me learning new things and getting acquainted with other people. Sixth grade isn’t how I thought it would be. I thought sixth grade was gone to be easy. So far I’m liking the first three weeks but , I know that it’s going to get harder through the year but my sixth grade year has been great starting the first three weeks.
I think 6th grade has been difficult and a little stressful, but it has been great making friends. Homework is too much because we get a lot of it. Now I know that it is time to buckle down. Middle school is not like elementary.

My first three weeks at W.J. Christian are fun. I’ve met lots of new friends and I’ve seen lot’s of old friends. I’ve gotten use to the school too. I think they give lots of homework , but I like this school so far.
I agree with Kiana this year has been great and changing classes is good too. Meeting new people is great and I believe this will be a good school year for me and my classmates

I agree with Kiara Hicks Mrs.Lavender is laid back but if you don't turn in your work or do you work she is going to get angry but, besides that she is funny and nice.
Thus far sixth grade has been very challenging to me. I will still strive for the best though .honestly I think sixth grade is the best grade I have ever had so far. It’s really fun. I have heard mean things about the teachers since kinder garden and now that I’m here none of it is true .I regret believing it because I came to school being who I was not just so the teachers would like me because I was scared that they would do the thing to me that I was told .otherwise I love the sixth grade.

Thus far I love 6th grade this year. The teachers are fun, and the classes are fun too. At first didn’t really like it but now I love it, and I’m happy that I’m here. The students are cool, fun, and nice.
These past 4 weeks has been great except for the time I called my mom. Every since then I learned a lesson which was that not turning in my work and not finishing my work will get me a big fat f in not in just Mrs. Lavenders class. So far I learned a lesson so these pass 4 to weeks has been good and bad.
This school year has been fun so far with the new friends and teachers! You would think being at a new school is challenging , but having an older sister to give advice and share tips is really helpful. Having tons of homework everyday is not similar to what 5th grade was like.
I love sixth grade because it teaches me alot and my teachers are very structered. In the past three weeks I have learned alot that I would have did in a different school.

I agree with you Cam Jones I do think being at this school is fun and I’ve also met new friends and seen old friends but I do agree that we have a lot of homework but it is fun being here so far.
Hello everyone my first 3 weeks at W.J.Christian have been pretty easy, but I know it won't always be like this. I must complete all my work and pay attention in class. I want to have all A's by the end of the school year. I agree with many others but most of all we must behave with our teachers.
Since I have been at W. J Christian, it's been a great experience. The teachers are excellent!! I feel like my experience as a 6th grader will be great!!
These four weeks have been good. I’ve learned so many new things since I’ve been at WJC. Even though we have a lot of homework, it will help us in the future.
Hey yall,the first three weeks of school has been great for for me.All the teachers are nice and they dont fuse a lot ,but when you dont do your work they go nuts.I really thought that they were going to be mea n and stuff but they are not. The swiching classes isnt as bad as i thought it would be.Its very easy its just getting and putting the books up.That is how the first weeks were for me.
Micaiah Collins: I feel that six grade is going to be a challenge this year because of all the homework assignments we have to do. It is easy but, it is a lot. I know that it is going to get harder. I need to focus in class so when I get home I can know what to do and not stay up all night. I have made a lot of new friends this year. I like all of my teachers. I also know that I need to study harder so I can make the “A” honor roll. My grades are looking good so far except in Language. It is not too bad but, it is not good either. This is what I think of this year so far.

I have been having a good three weeks of school.I have been having a hard time keeping up with homework.I'm holding on.I have lots of friends now.All my teachers are so organized.
I agree with Ikei Hosea they really do get mad when we don't do our homework but its called DISIPLINE so you can know not to do it again I also agree with him about switching classes IT IS TOO HARD!!!!!!
It’s been a nice beginning for my first year of middle school. I’ve had a few disagreements here and there, but I can still say it’s been fine. Even though it’s only been three whole weeks of school, I’ve learned a lot. I hope in the future we’ll have a whole bunch of fun. What I’m saying is that this school year has been great.
I agree with you Charlie I need to write a little bit faster to specially in Mrs. Turners class. but, instead of chess my favorite part of the day is band because I'm learning a lot.
This 6th grade school year also had it own down fall because all of the classwork is not going to be easy and also the pace is faster and I need to write neater.
Thus far this 6th grade school year I feel like I know my schedule, I know my teachers, and I definetly know who to hang around and who not to. I love that all of my classes are Pre-A-P. I love that all of my teachers push their students to do better than their best. 6th grade and just middle school is self is totally different from elementary. In middle school the responsibility is all on you. Your work, your supplies, and the personal items that you bring to school. This is how I feel thus far in this 6th grade school year.
I disagree with Dasia because even if you are having problems in class you should ask for help from your teacher or parent. Also for my opinion I say this school year has been ok.
6th Grade so far has been really fun! I have been catching up with old and new friends. I don't think we have too much homework just too many subjects all in one day. Other than that I think 6th Grade is going to be the best school year ever!
I think it has been diffcult because of the homework, all the clesswork, and getting the bell ringers done in time. But I know it is going to be very successful school year,and I am looking foward to it. P.S. I love this school.
So far my 3 weeks at W.J.C has been great. I am making new friends and learning new things that I did not learn before. The school work is kind of easy and at times it is rough. It takes time to get use to it. I LOVE 6TH GRADE IT'S FUN I LOVE LEARNING AT W.J.C AND THE SCHOOL IS ENJOYABLE.
Being at a new school could take sometime getting used to. The only thing that I an looking forward to is the sports, but I know in order to play my grades have to stay up.
I think the first three weeks of school has been great because the work is easy so far. I first had a little trouble in science but everything else is coming easy to me. The teachers can be nice and strict at sometimes. Ms.Turner first seemed a little bit mean but that before I got to meet her. She seems very nice. Ms. Cammack can be mean a most of the times, but when it comes to her math, you wouldn't want to be standing too close. That's when she gets real excited and hyperactive. Last but not least, there's Ms. Lavender. She is a very nice teacher that gives you lots of opportunities to do your work, behave right, and just to do anything else you're supposed to do. I like when she gives us those "Mad Gabs" (the critical thinking game.) To me Ms. Lavender reminds me of my G.A.T.E teacher Ms. Williams. She has that nice but strict personality. That's the teachers. This is how my first three weeks of school is going.
Hi y'all I am really glad to be at WJC it is very fun but in an educational way. I love every subject especially math I love math and science and reading/ language. Our language teacher is VERY FUN!!!!!!
Hey!So how you guys doing in middle school? I have to be honest about myself, but I feel that this isn't the way I plan this school year to be.Oh well, i'll just have to get use to it.
So far these last three weeks of 6th grade have been ok.They haven't been great because the firt week I hated w.j.c and I wasn"t in any classes with my friends from the previous grades. Although I can say that these last two weeks have been pretty good, so I think the rest of the school year will go wel.
Hey guys! This year in middle school is really tricky because everything is so fast and unspoken when need to. Sooner or later I will get use to( I hope).
So far 6th has been ok. It hasn't been great because I hated w.j.c my first week of school and all of my friends from my previous school are not in my class. Although my first week was horrible, I am adjusting and these last two weeks have been pretty good, so I think that the rest of my 6th grade year will go good
School is great so far! I love the challenges that we have to complete so far. the homework that we have is pretty easy and the geography bee written test was no problem! I think i am really going to enjoy this school year.
Scorpions Chapter 1-5 Internal Conflict - I think that it relates to me because Jamal and I have been yelled at. We`ve both had our difficulties. We`ve made many mistakes, and we`ve both came through, and we learned from them.

So far my 3 weeks at W.J.C has been great. I am making new friends and learning new things that I did not learn before. The school work is kind of easy and at times it is rough. It takes time to get use to it. I LOVE 6TH GRADE IT'S FUN I LOVE LEARNING AT W.J.C AND THE SCHOOL IS ENJOYABLE.

Being at a new school could take sometime getting used to. The only thing that I an looking forward to is the sports, but I know in order to play my grades have to stay up.
I think the first three weeks of school has been great because the work is easy so far. I first had a little trouble in science but everything else is coming easy to me. The teachers can be nice and strict at sometimes. Ms.Turner first seemed a little bit mean but that before I got to meet her. She seems very nice. Ms. Cammack can be mean a most of the times, but when it comes to her math, you wouldn't want to be standing too close. That's when she gets real excited and hyperactive. Last but not least, there's Ms. Lavender. She is a very nice teacher that gives you lots of opportunities to do your work, behave right, and just to do anything else you're supposed to do. I like when she gives us those "Mad Gabs" (the critical thinking game.) To me Ms. Lavender reminds me of my G.A.T.E teacher Ms. Williams. She has that nice but strict personality. That's the teachers. This is how my first three weeks of school is going.

I disagree with you Montrell because homework is not too much. It's actually too easy.
I`m glad we get our report cards, it will help me embrace myself.

Hi y'all I am really glad to be at WJC it is very fun but in an educational way. I love every subject especially math I love math and science and reading/ language. Our language teacher is VERY FUN!!!!!!

I agree Dasia but we get homework for a reason,it to get all the things we need help in with everything we need to know and to accomplish goals.
I like Mrs.Lavenders' work too but it's a little challenging.
Hey!So how you guys doing in middle school? I have to be honest about myself, but I feel that this isn't the way I plan this school year to be.Oh well, i'll just have to get use to it.

Although I can say that these last two weeks have been pretty good, so I think the rest of the school year will go wel.

So far 6th has been ok. It hasn't been great because I hated w.j.c my first week of school and all of my friends from my previous school are not in my class. Although my first week was horrible, I am adjusting and these last two weeks have been pretty good, so I think that the rest of my 6th grade year will go good

I love school now for some unknown reason WJC made me change my mind about school. At first I thought school was boring but at WJC it is really fun

School is great so far! I love the challenges that we have to complete so far. the homework that we have is pretty easy and the geography bee written test was no problem! I think i am really going to enjoy this school year.
