I believe that Mr. Pignati is believeable because in the story Mr. Pignati gives them money for their fake charity and they thougt he was going to get a knife. I also think he is believeable because he doesn't do anything while John and Lorraine are sitting in his house and he just talks about the charity, he talks about jokes, he talks about his pigs, and he talks about his wife Conchetta.

I think Mr.Pignati is a believable character, because in the real word there be creeps with a junky house, and desperate for someone to talk to. Creeps today would give out money to talk to anyone like Mr.Pignati. Every once in a while there is always a strange person with things inside their house that you couldn't believe (Mr.Pignati). Mr.Pignati has house stuff inside his house that are parts of electronics, to fix things, because he is a retired handy man.

I think Mr.Pignati is a believable because as stated in the story Mr.Pignati gave John and Lorraine money for there fake charity.I think John was wrong for spending the money, but still Mr.Pignati is very believable.I would alsolike to include John and Lorraine thought Mr.Pignati was going to grab a knife instead of giving them money

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is a believable character, because I mean he acts like most old men I know here in the real world. My great grandpa has weird things in his house I can't believe like Mr. Pignati. So I honestly think Mr. Pignati is a believable character.

Unknown said...

I agree with Henry, because it is very believable when somebody gives money for a charity.

Unknown said...

I think MR.Pignati is really a beliveable person because I know somebody just like him its this lady i found out about and she might have a husband i dont know but she looks like a lonely person that just want to talk they would even talk to a person that is a kid, but this man doesnt have his wife right now she's away with her sister probally having fun while MR.Pignati got to stay home alone. We know he loves his wife he just wants to spend time with her. That's why i think MR.Pignati could actually be a belivable person he could be in this world well,he probally was in this world because he died, probally from loneliness.Poor MR.Pignati.R.I.P

Mr. Pignati is an believable character, because he was a lonely man in need of company, and by that point he would talk to any body even some kids. The way Mr. Pignat always took them places and let him in to his home was to fill the absent of his wife not being there.

Unknown said...

I agree with Fredrick, because Mr. Pignati does act like many old people would act if they were lonely in a house they would be desparate for a phone call, or vistors.

Unknown said...

I agree with Kendra because Mr. Pignati was only trying to donate money to what he thought was a charity, Mr. Pignati was only trying to be nice and donate some money, which is very believable.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati was a believable character because a man like Mr.Pignati could really donate money to a charity

Unknown said...

I agree with Kendra and cameron because Mr.Pignati does seem like a real person

Unknown said...

I agree with Camron, because many old people seem desparate like Mr.Pignati.

Unknown said...

Cameron I mean.

Unknown said...

I believe that Mr. Pignati is a believeable person. In the story you can see that Mr.Pignati was just looking for some company in his life. Mr. Pignati is a very believeable person in the story because he is like most older people.

Unknown said...

Mr.Pignati isn't a believable character, but on the other hand he is. He isn't believable because what kind of person would invite someone to a junky old house and give them ten dollars. The story states, "I'll be glad to send you ten dollars..."He doesn't even know what the charity does. Also he is a believable character because just like a regular old man he would be kind and glad to have visitors and someone to talk to. The passage says, "He didn't seem to be surprised that we were children. He just seemed glad to see us."Mr.Pignati is a wonderful, warm person.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Kendra because what seems like the nicest person in the world is just handing you ten dollars. Also he is sharing his personal life with strangers.

Unknown said...

I agree with tori because like most elderly people Mr.Pignati just wants some company.

Unknown said...

I agree with Henry, because no one should just take anyone's' money and not have any guilt.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is beliveable because he gives money to the fake charity and he does things that a real person in life would do like joke about pigs

Unknown said...

I agree with henery too.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because he's lonely and keep buying things for Lorrain and John. Also, despite the fact that his wife died, he still acts as if it's all ok.

Unknown said...

I say that Mr. Pignati is a belivable character because he sounds like the kind of friendly person that you would be neighbors with."I'll be glad to send you ten dollars, Miss Truman." Even though Mr. Pignati doesn't know that the kids are just kidding about the ten dollars. He didn't ask twice about the money he just gave it.

Unknown said...

Mr.Pignati is a believable character in the story because he gave ten dollars over the phone; people give money to charities every day. “I’ll be glad to send you ten dollars …”.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because he is a positive person to be around. He was also thoughtful and caring toward John and Lorraine because in the text it said “He bought me two cotton-candies-on-a-sticks, one bag of peanuts, and a banana split at this homemade ice-cream palace. Lorraine got at least four bags of peanuts, one cherry ice-cream cone, and a black -and -white soda.”So that shows that he is caring and thoughtful.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron because Mr.Pignati was in need of company and wanted someone to talk to.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is believable, but at the same time I don’t think he’s believable. I can understand someone giving money to charity, and telling someone to come to your house to get it. On the other hand inviting someone that you barely know in your house, and then giving them some wine is not believable. John and Lorraine’s parents might not allow them to drink wine, so why would you offer someone wine instead of like water or juice.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron Brown, because Mr.Pignati was very lonely due to his wife being out of town.

Unknown said...

I agree with Myranda, because who would invite someone they don’t know into an unclean house to give them ten dollars, instead of just giving it to them at the door.

Unknown said...

I say that Mr. Pignati is a belivable character because he sounds like the kind of friendly person that you would be neighbors with."I'll be glad to send you ten dollars, Miss Truman." I agreee with Aniyah Jones because I think Mr.

Mr.Pignati is a believable character. Many students have been agreeing with this statemendt, but I agree yet disagree with the statement. I have never met anyone who invites you to the zoo the first time they meet you. The text states,” we should all go to the zoo tomorrow,” The pigman says this when Lorraine and john are at his house collecting ten dollars for their fake charity. Yet I do believe he is believable because some people do lie about people who were loved a lot being alive because they don't want to accept the fact that this person is dead just like Mr. Pignati. Yet, at the same time I don’t believe he is a believable character, I do. He is just lonely and is very desperate for friends. Everyone has there own personality and the pigman’s is weird but also friendly.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron, because Mr.Pignati was desperate to talk to anybody!

Unknown said...

Yes I think that Mr.Pignati is a believeable character because in the story he believes what Lorraine tells him on the prank call about the L & J Fund.

Unknown said...

I agree with Kendra because Mr.Pignati does give them money for the fake charity foundation that they made up just to get 10 bucks

Unknown said...

I agree with Aniyah Brown because I also think he sounds like the kind of friendly person you could be neighbors with.

Unknown said...

I believe that Mr.Pignati is an believeable person, because he is an old man so he is going to be desperate for someone to talk to even if it is some children.I also think he is believeable ,because he was willing to give money to the made up charity. After all he does need someone to talk to cause his wife isnt there so he's lonely.Mr.Pignati always had that smile on his face , but he really wasn't.

Unknown said...

I agree with Tori ,because he is lonely and all he needed was some company and someone to talk to.

Unknown said...

I also agree with Timothy, because he does sound like an friendly neighbor. He is always smiling ,and he likes to have fun.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because he is lonely like other elder men. I think he is believable because he still has his wife’s clothes and has old stuff because he is a retired handy man.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Rachel L. when she says why would you invite a stranger you don't even know in your house because thats what i was trying to bring out in my comment.

Unknown said...

I agree with Rachel L. because he is believable but not believable.

Anonymous said...

I also agree with Timothy because even though he might not seem to believible he is just tryin to be friendly.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron B. because he is so lonely he will talk to anyone even kids.

Unknown said...

I do believe that Mr.Pignati is a believable people because not everybody gets disrespected and turns around and still gives that person respect. I also noticed in the book where John and Lorraine made a fake charity. Mr.Pignati was very generous for giving those people the money that they did not deserve. I can almost relate this my life because just yesterday I was I the dollar tree and I was buying two poster boards and I knew for a fact that tax was ten cent so I went in there with 25 cent just in case and the lady rung me up and I came out to be $1.35. I was basically 10 cent short and I said I was going to go back to the car and get some change. That is when a lady said “What does she need, I’ll give it to her.” That lady was very generous just like Mr.Pignai. So I feel that people should not take advantage of that.

Unknown said...

I agree with what Aniyah Jones said because it is true that Mr.Pignati is someone positive to be around.

Unknown said...

I would have to agree yet disagree with the statment Rachel said because I can see where she is coming from, but at the same time when someone invites you somewhere of course it is already your job to ask your parents so that (to me) is really not a reason to dislike someone or say they are unbelievable.

Unknown said...

I think the Pigman is a believeable character becuse the story shows that he has feelings. He is a very lonely man and almost cried when he was talking about his wife. He has feelings like regular people.

Unknown said...

I agree with James because Mr.Pignati is lonely, and he needs, wants, and deserves some company.

Unknown said...

I think that Mr. Pignati is a very believable character because there are many old married couples in the world and Mr. Pignati and his wife are one of those married couples.

Unknown said...

The Pigman is believable because why would he give money to their fake charity if he wasn’t believable.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron because Mr. Pignati seems very lonely when his wife is not around.

Unknown said...

I agree with Aniyah because Mr. Pignati is very thoughtful and there are some very thoughtful people in this world.

Malik Childrey 6b said...

I agree with Cameron because Mr. Pignati seems very lonely when his wife is not around.

Unknown said...

I say Mr. Pigman is a believable character because some elders might feel lonely with no one to talk to. He also gives John and Lorraine almost anything they want. Some elders do the same things like mine. He talks about his past with Conchetta. However, old man can't roller skate because for one it doesn't make sense. Also, Mr. Pigman plays wildly with John and Lorraine? So basically I have my ups and downs about the Pigman.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron B. because Mr. Pigman wanted to speak to anyone he could talking a mile a minute.

Unknown said...

I agree with Takyah because elders will do anything to talk to anyone they know.

Sawani said...

I think Mr.Pignati is a believable character because he certain knowledge that only I true person could have. He couldn’t know the strong bond a wife and husband should have or the true meaning of friendship (His friendship with Bobo). He teaches Lorraine and John the TRUE meaning of friendship and the strong bond that you should have with a mature person considering both of them didn’t have good relationship with their parents. I believe this is the “Lesson of the Elder” Mrs. Lavender was talking about to look out for while reading the book when we first started reading The Pigman. As I am reading the story, I believe Mr.Pignati is a very believable character.

Sawani said...

I disagree with Mahogany Pouncy because just because you didn’t explain to me exactly why he is a believable character. Just because he believed that Lorraine was in the L&J Fund it doesn’t explain to me why he is a believable character. If you are going to give that as an answer you should at least give some supporting details. Maybe, to make your answer more understanding to readers you can use R23CI.

Sawani said...

I agree with Myranda Bell because she really convinces me that Mr.Pignati is a believable yet unbelievable character. He does unbelievable because he gave Lorraine and John money without actually knowing if they had a real charity. It gives me a real visual of Mr.PIgnati’s character and further explains his character to me.

Unknown said...

I believe that Mr.Pignati is a believeable character because he really pulls in John and Lorraine as his friends while their playing a prank on him. However, still not knowing what's going on, he buys food for them and introduces his best friend to them. He is also a very believeable character because he cares about others. He's pretty old and probably needs the attention.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is a beleivable character because people are lonely and don't have anyone to talk to in real life.

Anonymous said...

Yes i do think that Mr.Piganti is a believable character because he always tells that sobbing story of his wife leaving to California, and he always has that innocent smile and look on his face, according to Lorraine. Also, he always tells Lorraine and John to feel welcome at his house, and that will defiantly get me to believe every thing he says. Especially if someones that nice to me.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Takyah G. because creeps will do anything to talk to someone. Especially one like Mr.Pignati.

Unknown said...

Yes, because he has common problems like normal people. The only thing is that he doesn’t accept them, as many people in real life.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is believable because he was nice enough to have taken John and Lorraine to the zoo, and even let them pick out there own food when they went grocery shopping. That is why I think Mr.Pignati is a believable person.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron B. and James M. because they said the same thing that he was trying to fill the place of his wife with children because he was a very lonely man in need of some company.

Unknown said...

I agree with Sawani because if Mr.Pignati wasn't a believeable character, he wouldn't have such a strong bond with two totally different teens.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because he gave John & Lorraine the $10.00 for their "fake" charity & had showed his feelings when he talked about his wife.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because he only gave them the 10 dollars s that he could have someone in his life besides Bobo he was only a lonely old man looking for company and he found it in two young adults. Althoughi dont believe h could be real because anyone with sense would know that u shouldnt trust everyone even if ur lonely

Unknown said...

I agree with Tamiyah because real people have real feelings.

Anonymous said...

I think that he is a believable actor because in the story he got excited twice in the story which even surprised me when he wanted to show them his pigs and when he went in the kitchen to get them wine. He even asked them to go to the zoo, and what rings in my head is that he is either lonesome or he really wants his wife to come home but doesn't want to ruin her trip.

Anonymous said...

I agree with Kendra Smith because he acts like everything is okay and on the inside he really just wanted someone to talk with him for awhile.

Anonymous said...

I also agree with James Muhammad Because like I said before he really just wanted someone to talk to and he didn't want them to leave so he began to show and talk about all of the glass pigs he bought for his wife over the past years.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is a believable character because was nice enough to let John and Lorraine feel welcomed in his home and ask them to hangout with him, which is something most people should do. On the other hand, I think he isn't a believable person because he is a grown, old man that acts like a kid just so John and Lorraine could feel comfortable around him. You shouldn't have to change the way you are for anybody.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron Brown because there are some lonely people in the world that would do anything to be social with others.

Unknown said...

I agree with Tori because most elderly people likes having company so they would do anything to have it.

Unknown said...

I do feel as if Mr.Pignati is a believable character because any person could go through his situation. An elder like Mr.Pignati could be lonely if they live by themselve. Mr.Pignati thought the L & J Fund was real because he didn't ask many questions about it. When Lorraine and John was on the phone, Mr.Pignati could have been convinced that the fund raiser was real because he really wasn't concerned with that. From Lorraine and John's perspective, all Mr.Pignati wanted to do was talk.

QUOTES FORM STORY TO SUPPORT MY ANSWER: "He sounded like such a nice old man, but terribly lonely".

"He was just dying to talk".

"His own life is so boring when measured against his daydreams..."

Unknown said...

I think he is a believable because in the story he said his wife was visiting his sister, that’s happen in real life with people I know. He tells jokes and goes to the zoo, people in real life does that because to them it’s fun.

Unknown said...

I agree with Poole anyone can go through the things he is going through.

Unknown said...

I agree with Kendra he does like telling jokes.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is a believable character because he’s not trying to cover things like when John said “Mr.Pignati don’t try to hide behind the New York Times.” I agree with Kendra, because Mr.Pignati did give money to the fake J&L fund. I disagree with Takyah because she didn't talk about anything, but creeps who needs friends desperately.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character, because he was so nice he gave John and Lorraine refreshments and forgave them for all the bad things they did like have a party at the Pigman’s house.

Unknown said...

I believe that Mr. Pignati is a believable character because of the way he communicated with Lorraine and John. Also, how he described the amazing relationship he had with his wife and the jokes he told her. Lastly, how he was very old and was in need of company, so he decided that he would talk to children and take them places such as the zoo.

Unknown said...

I agree with Sawani because this is a “Lesson of the Elder” because Mr. Pignati teaches Lorraine and John the true meaning of friendship. They have learned a valuable lesson.

Unknown said...

I agree with Tamiya because only a true person would tell 2 teenagers to make themselves feel at home. Mr. Pignati must have a lot of respect for Lorraine and John.

Unknown said...

To me Mr. Pignati is a believable character because of his believable characteristics. Most of Mr. Pignati’s actions in the story could happen in real life. For example, when he tries to hold a conversation with Lorraine on the phone. It is normal for seniors to talk to just about anyone Earth. Sometimes they are just lonely and would like some company. Another example is how happy and joyful Mr. Pignati always is. Most seniors rarely have a frown on their face. Why should they be down in the dumps? They should always rejoice because of how good life has been to them. One last example is how generous he was to the L & J Fund when he didn’t even know how it helped the community. Normally, elders are so generous because they have a giving heart. Or maybe it’s because they know if they give to someone they’ll get it right back in a blessing from God. I truly think Mr. Pignati is a believable character and could probably exist in reality.

Unknown said...

I agree with Ariyana B. because just like I said he is going through real life situations and handles them in a real life way.

Unknown said...

I somewhat disagree with Kourtney B. because some people might invite you to the zoo the first time they come in contact with you if they are friendly and lonely enough.

Unknown said...

Mr.Pignati is a very believable character, because he is the only man I know that gives $10 to a charity ,and tell them to come to their house to get it. Also my great grandad has a shed full of old junk.

Unknown said...

I also agree with HenryB., because any lonely old man would tell someone to get some money from his house, so he could talk with someone.

Unknown said...

the pigman is a funny book that's about some bad children.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Miranda Bell because just because he shared is personal life with the children doesn't mean that he is not a believeable person. He probably just wanted to tell more deep information about himself so the kids could no more about him.

Unknown said...

Rachel she wasn't out of town, she was on her way to a better place.

Unknown said...

I also agree with James, because he is an old man so he is going to be desperate for someone to talk to even if it is some children.I also think he is believeable ,because he was willing to give money to the made up charity. After all he does need someone to talk to cause his wife isnt there so he's lonely.Mr.Pignati always had that smile on his face , but he really wasn't.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pinati is a believable character because he is a lonely old man who lives alone, and is a retired electrician.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati has a believeable character becuase of the way he treated Lorraine and John. He could have been mean to them, but he was a good-hearted man.Once he lied beause he didn't want anybody to know his wife was dead. He could've been mean and grumpy, but as I said, he was a good-hearted man. He bought them bought them skates and he bought them food to try. He could have not bought them skates and food to try,but as I said he was a really nice older person. He also could have said no to the fake charity but he liked giving because he didn't get enough visitors and were lonely.

Mr pignati is a believeable character, because even though John and Lorraine had the party, pigman still went to the zoo with then.

I agree with Takyah

Unknown said...

I believe that Mr.Pignati is a believable character because according to the text, they have played pranks and spend joyful times with Mr.Pignati.Since this has been going on I've been thinking that all of their actions can happen in reality. The way these authors are explainig his actions, expressions, and pearsonality he seems more realistic every minute.I have had a very good time reading the pigman its very interesting.

I don’t think Mr. Pignati is a believable person because he lied abut his wife going to California. She wasn't in California because she was dead.

Unknown said...

I believe that Mr.Pignati is a believable character because,he has common problems like normal people. The only thing is that he doesn’t accept them, as many people in real life
do.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because he seems so nice even though he is going through the depression of his deceased wife and in the story it states that when he confessed about Conchetta's death he was crying.

Unknown said...

I agree with Erica Lockhart because the many expressions and statements in the story make the pigman so believable.

Unknown said...

I agree with Zaryah Christian because he was very kind to John and Lorraine and that made Mr. Pignati believable.

Unknown said...

I believe Mr.Pignati is a believable character because he acts like an actual person who you can see every day.

Unknown said...

Yes I do think Mr.Pignati is a believable person, bbecause of how trustworthy he was to Lorraine and John. Mr.Pignati is a nice man to me in the story and it was so sad that he died.

Unknown said...

I agree with Kendra because any believeable character would have done the same thing if they were lonely like the pigman.

Unknown said...

I also agree with Mahogany.

Unknown said...

I agree with Takyah Grady.

Unknown said...

I agree with Kendra Smith because Mr. Pignati is a believeable character due to him giving them money for their fake charity.

Unknown said...

I THINK MR.PIGNATI IS A BELIEVEABLE CHARACTER, BECAUSE IN THE REAL WORLD HE ACTS JUST LIKE AN OLD WOULD ACT.

Unknown said...

I agree with Makenzie Rollins because that does happen to people his age these days

Unknown said...

I believe Mr.Pignati is a believable character because he gave John and Lorraine $10.00 for there fake charity called the L&J Fund.

Unknown said...

I do think the Pigman is a believable character, because in the novel the things that the Pigman do are real things that an old man would do in real life. Like when the Pigman goes to the zoo all the time, a lot of lonely old people do things like that. Also, he named a monkey Bobo which is his best friend.

I think Mr. Pignati is a believeable character because of the connection he made between John and Lorraine. He also might have needed someone to talk to since his wife died. He was kind to John and Lorraine while they were in his company and to me that is believeable because he is old and some old people are kind

Unknown said...

I do not think Mr. Pignati is a believable character because people these days do not just be nice because you are a charity. Mr. Piganati also isn't believable because he lets strangers come in his house an half the time they don't even talk about the charity. It is like all they do is act like they are having a social event. That is why Mr. Pignati isn't a believable character.

Unknown said...

I think Mr. Pignati is a very believable character. Many older people have lost family and friends to death, and others have moved away to be taken care of by family or moved into nursing homes, so they become lonely. Mr. Pignati is just a lonely old man that enjoys John and Lorraine's company.

Unknown said...

I think Mr.Pignati is a believeable character because in the story he did realistic things. He thought John an Lorraine were apart of a charity so he gave them money. He treated them as if they were adults and he always treated them with respect.
