I think the first trailer used stronger symbolism, because you could tell who Mr. Pignati was and who Lorraine was and who John was. Also it had great quality, and was also old, but besides that I think it would be a great movie.

Unknown said...

I think the first video was the best version of the Pigman. I picked it because they had the typewriter and I could tell the characters from each other. I can see the symbolism like when lorraine was mature because the way she dressed also in the trailer and the images I saw in my head while I was reading the novel.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin F. because you could tell who was Lorraine, John, and mr.Pignati.

Unknown said...

I believe that the first trailer did a good job, but the second trailer did an even better job with the animations. The first trailer shows John and Lorraine and doesn't even show the Pigman. Also, the children look older. On the second trailer it shows the kids and the pigman. That one is better than the second one because it actually shows the man that is is the name of the book! I hope there is a movie for "The Pigman" because those trailers make me want to see it!

Unknown said...

I agree with Bejamin 100% because the the details it shows you who is who and "The Pigman" would be a great movie!

Anonymous said...

Actually Madison the first clip does show the pigman, the old man is the pigman

Anonymous said...

The two Pigman movie trailers are different becuase in the first trailer, Lorraine and John were happy and glad and they were together.(Pignati,Lorraine,John)But, in the second clip, Lorraine and John were different and saddened,so i concluded that in the first clip, they had just met Mr.Pignati and they were happy;however, in the second one,Mr.Pignati had already died and the party had already happened,so they werent allowed to speak with each other probably.
The trailers are similar becuase they both represent John and Lorraine feelings with being with Mr.Pignati, and how they felt during their visits. The second clip did the best job of displaying symbolism between the clips.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Cameron Humes because I do not understand what you are trying to say about the trailors.

Unknown said...

Henry I must have not been paying attention because I didn't see him. Let me watch this video again!

Anonymous said...

Actually I do agree with Benjamin F. however, I think the second clip had more emotion than the frst one. In movie trailers, i expect to feel what the actors are presenting. More like less speaking, more acting.

Unknown said...

I think the Pigman is going to be a wonderful movie because if the book was good I know the movie will be much more exciting.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Madison Clay, because the Pigman is shown in the first trailer, and there already is a Pigman movie

Unknown said...

I disagree with Madison C. because the second one didn’t include the Pigman. The first one did include the Pigman because in one scene you see the Pigman introduce himself to Lorraine and John at the zoo.

Unknown said...

The two videos are similar, by them both having to demonstrate The Pigman. They are different, by on each video they explain the book in different ways, such as on one video it had John and Lorraine kissing and meeting Mr.Pignati at the zoo, but on the other video it showed John smoking and their parents asking them where have they been all night. The uses of symbolism I saw was when Lorraine was mature, because of the way she dressed. I think the first clip used stronger symbolism, because when I watched it you could really tell who Mr.Pignati, John, and Lorraine was. I think the first video is better, because it actually shows the man that wrote the book.

Unknown said...

I think that the first trailer of The Pigman was better because it was just like what I read in the novel they had the typewriter just like in the story because they stated that the English teacher let them borrow her typewriter to write the story. The way the characters dressed let you know that this did not happen in 2012 that and the typewriter. The first trailer actually gives you the story, but the second one did nothing all it did was show a boy on the curb smoking which I strongly think was John and then a girl came and they rode on a boat and somehow ended up in a taxi talking. It was just too confusing for me to understand. This is my opinion you can agree or disagree this is how I feel upon this question.

Unknown said...

Also I think the first clip was better because the second clip i really didn't know what was going on.

Unknown said...

I meant the second trailer sorry Henry!

Unknown said...

I disagree with Madison, because the second video did not include the Pigman, however the first clip did include the Pigman.

Anonymous said...

I disagree with Faith M. The second clip in my opinion was to show you the emotion that they were feeling probably after Mr.Pignati died. I thought that you could conclude that after reading the book!

Unknown said...

I agree with Ryan Houston, because the book was marvelous so the movie will probably be even better.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin, because when he said that you could actually tell who the Pigman, John, and Lorraine was, you actually could if you watch the video.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Jamaris because the second trailer didn't include the pigman.

Unknown said...

I agree with Ryan, because the book was a wonderful story, so the movie probably will be much better.

Unknown said...

Mrs.Lavender well I think that the first video was better , because you could see what Mr.Pignati really oked like.In the book you had to picture what h looked like.I think that the second video was not that good , because I couldn't really get anything from it.In the first clip i think that it symbolised friendship, because in the clip they were hugging .I think the second clip symbolised love , because in the clip John and Lorraine had kissed and they were holding hands. The first clip did an better job, because they were all hugging and you could really see them laughing with each other.

Unknown said...

I disagree with marcell because the two trailers are not similar it doesn't reallly let you know what is going on in the second trailer.

Anonymous said...

I disagree with Ryan H. becuase you shouldve have known what was going on in the second clip if you read the BOOK!!

Unknown said...

I think the first clip was best, because I could tell who the characters were and I could connect the clip to the book. The first clip really made my imagery from the book real, and the second clip didn’t really explain anything. If I just would have watch the second clip, and never read the book, I would have been confused.

Unknown said...

Tamiya I'm not trying to be rude against, but like I said in my comment it's just an oponion and you have your own oponion and I have mine I'm not trying to start something by saying this.

Unknown said...

Actually Ryan, yes it does, because it was showing parts from the book and you would know that if you read the book.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron H. , because while you are reading you have to picture it in your head , but it might not be the right image off it.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin, because you could clearly tell who the characters were in the first clip.

Unknown said...

I agree with Faith, because the first clip did relate to the book, and show some of the things that were in the book.

Unknown said...

I agree with Ryan because let's say it was based on how they felt after Mr. Pignati died and let's pretend I didn't read the book how would I supposed to know that he died because the second clip doesn't tell me anything the first one showed him having the heart attack now pretend like you didn't read the book which one helps you the most?

Unknown said...

The First Pigman movie clip symbolizes love because John and Lorraine had kissed In Mr.Pignati’s house ,and They were holding hands at the end. The Second movie clip symbolizes bad habits because John was on the wall lighting a cigarette and smoking it. The First Clip did a better job with displaying symbolism throughout the movie trailer because they showed a lot of symbolism which was love, death, and many more. The Two Movie Trailers are different because The First Movie Trailer Lorraine and John looked about twelve years old ,and they were suppose look like sophomores ,and The Second Movie Trailer looked like sophomores. Also,The Pigman In The First Clip looked like a old man ,but In The Second Clip Mr.Pignati didn’t appear. Both clips are similar because John and Lorraine feelings were being revealed about the pigman.

Unknown said...

The two pigman trailers are similar and diffent both are showing clips from the pigman. They are different becuse one trailer shows clips of seens in the pigman movie, and the other one is a song I guess by john.

Anonymous said...

The two movies are similar because they both show Lorraine and John. The difference between the two movies is that the first film showed the younger version of Lorraine and John, however the second film shows the more older version of Lorraine and John. After watching both films I can tell Lorraine symbolizes compassion. Also I can tell that John symbolizes uncompassionate . Even though it showed them younger I say the first clip has the best display to me.

Unknown said...

I agree with Racheal, because you could tell who the chrarcters where and how they connected

Anonymous said...

I agree with Racheal because all the things she said about why she likes the first film better is the same thing I think about it

Anonymous said...

I disagree with Madison, because the second film was horrible all you saw was a whole bunch of pictures and plus it had no sound.

Unknown said...

After watching both clips I think lorraine symbolize kindness.I think john symbolize in the first trailer happyness

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron humes and benjamin becuase the pigman movie will be a good one and this video uses stronger symbol.

Unknown said...

In the first trailer i think lorraine symbolizes happines too because as I said in the first one about john they were always with each other and excited. In the the second trailer lorraine symbolizes boredness because like every time they would show her she wouldn't even be siling. The first trailer shows sybolizatiion better because i could follow along with there emotions better.

Unknown said...

The first clip symbolizes friendship and the second clip symbolizes love. In the first clip it looked like the The Pigman and what I imagined happening. In the second clip I saw more of John and Lorraine in love. The first clip also looked old and the second one looked more recent. So the first clip looked like The Pigman and the second clip looked like a romance.

Unknown said...

I think clip 1 symbolize the charaters better because of John,Lorraine,The Pigman actions.

Unknown said...

The first film trailer had John and Lorraine being happy and meeting Pigman and falling in love, but in the second film the Pigman wasn't in the trailer and it was all about them and there love for each other and nothing about the Pigman.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron H because the characters look as they described in the book.the only thing wrong with the first clip is that Mr.Pignati does not looked as desrcibed.

Unknown said...

In the first trailer i think john symbolizes happiness because it looked like him and lorraine were always excited. In the second trailer i think john symbolizes carelessness because he was just sitting around and smoking, he wasn't doing anything for real.

Unknown said...

I think the trailers are totally different from each other because in the first trailer John and Lorraine look different compared to how they look in the second trailer. One piece of symbolism I saw was when John and Lorraine was in Mr.Pignati’s house drinking wine. When John and Lorraine was sitting down having wine; that symbolize love

Unknown said...

I agree with Kenneth M. because Lorraine and John were falling in love and The pigman was in the trailer.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin, because the first film did indeed have symbolism unlike the second film.

Unknown said...

I think the first trailer was the best, because its' symbols were better and I could tell the characters from eachother.I think it is going to be a good movie.

Unknown said...

I agree with Rachel because I also can connect the clip to the book.

Unknown said...

The movie trailers are both similar because of how they are showing a preview of the same movie, and they are different from each other because of how the first one gives a perspective on what the movie’s going to be about while it’s showing you. While the second one just mostly showed what John and Lorraine did throughout the movie.I think the first clip did a better job because if I had saw the clip before I read the book I would’ve still knew what the book was about by observing the first clip.

Unknown said...

I agree with Ryan, because it was a good book.

Unknown said...

I Also agree with Rachel because I Can Tell Who Was Who In The Pigman Clip 1 Too.

Unknown said...

I also agree with Ryan because I also think John symbolizes happiness.

Unknown said...

I think the first video symbolizes lost friendship, and it also symbolizes three friends coming together.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin F.

Unknown said...

The symbolism I saw; in the first clip was showing how happy they were, and they spent all the time in the world with each other. In the second clip I saw how they only spent a minimum of time with each other, and it showed friendship was gone.

Unknown said...

The two videos are similar and different in a few ways. A similarity is that it showed John and Lorraine hanging out in a certain point of the video. A difference is that both had an age difference. Plus, Mr. Pignati wasn’t in the second video.

Unknown said...

The two clips are similar because they both show some kind of sadness in it. They both are different because one showed Mr.Pignati falling and the other was about, well it showed John actually smoking. The two clips both together symbolize gladness and sadness because they were smiling, and crying, caring, and forgetting.

Unknown said...

I Agree with Ayanna Mills which is Tyletra Young about the how that both clips show sadness

Unknown said...

The first video symbolizes not lost love or lost friendship. .

Unknown said...

The two trailers were good and made me want to go out and get the movie. The two are similar because they both show the part when John and Lorraine had the candle light dinner. However, they are different because the second trailer shows John’s smoking habits, but the first one doesn’t. The symbolism I saw in the first clip is when the Pigman has a heart attack and in the second clip, I saw the costumes that were mentioned in the book for the candle light dinner. I think that the second trailer is better because the characters look as described in the book.

Unknown said...

Madison Clay is correct in my opinion because the second movie trailer has a more realistic animation, and they also look like high school students in the second clip.

Unknown said...

Also Alex Crear is correct in my opinion because John and Lorraine's feelings were unwrapped in these trailers

Unknown said...

The first clip was different from the second clip because the first clip actually looked related to the movie. The second clip looked like a strange romance movie. The second clip didn't even show Mr. Pignati. I think the first clip showed more symbolism than the second clip. I could also tell the characters apart in the first one. I agree with Jamaris and Tamiya. Also Madison the second clip didn't show Mr.Pignati

Unknown said...

The first trailer is the best one for symbolism even tho its old. The second trailer dosnt really show any symbolism and it doesn't even have Mr. Pignati in it. They both are simular because they both show how John and Lorraine's love for each other

Unknown said...

I mean the first video symbolizes not lost love, but lost friendship.

Unknown said...

What uses symbolism in the first clip was that it showed the relationship between all three of them. In clip two, it did not show much symbolism. They are the same because they both tell about John and Lorraines love. I agree with Comeron Matt about both videos showing John and Lorraine's love. I also agree with Madison on those trailers making her want to see the movie.

Unknown said...

After viewing the two movie trailers there are some things that are different such as the way John and Lorraine looks. In the first trailer they look like little kids that just walked out of an ice cream parlor, but in the second one they look somewhat like how they were described in the book. They were also similar because they both focused on the same story and they both didn’t have the characters to match the book. Usually movies that are based off of books are different from the book. Also the characters didn’t match because in the story it says that Lorraine isn’t very attractive and she was putting on weight, but in the trailer she is beautiful. In the first clip Lorraine symbolized shyness and Mr.Pignati symbolized joy. In the second clip Lorraine also symbolized shyness and John symbolizes compassion towards Lorraine. I think the second clip did a great job showing symbolism throughout the movie trailer.

Unknown said...

The second video symbolizes love coming together between John and Lorraine,Mr.Pignati's two little monkeys.

Unknown said...

The difference betwen the two trailers is one is talking about meeting the pigman with the pigman in it,but the other is showing John and Lorraine without the pigman.

Unknown said...

I totally agree with Madison because the second trailer looked more interesting than the first, but she got them mixed up.

Unknown said...

I think the first clip was more better than the second one because in the first movie it shows more detail about when Mr. Pignati fell in the monkey house and how they first met each other and how John and Lorraine kissed. In the first clip I saw peacefulness and careness. The second clip symbolized love.

Unknown said...

I agree with Terrell because the first clip had more details to let,you know what it was about

Unknown said...

I agree with Miranda because Lorraine didn't look like she was putting on weight at all in both of the movie trailers.

Unknown said...

The two clips are similar because they both had characters as John and Lorraine, but they are different because clip one had characters of John, Lorraine, and Mr.Pignati, and clip two just had characters as John and Lorraine. The symbolism of clip one and two was love. Clip one did a better job of displaying because it showed John, Lorraine, and Mr.Pignati the main characters in the novel.

Unknown said...

I agree with Derrin because both of the trailers especially the second trailer unwrapped John's and Lorraine's true feelings about each other.

Unknown said...

By Morgan Mauldin
the differnce between the first and second trailer is that one shows when John and Lorraine are older and the other one was when John and Lorrraine are kids. Anther differnces is that one is about John and Lorraine's relationship and the other was about John and Lorraine relationship with the pigman. Away both trailers are alike is that the film has JOhn and Lorraine in both.

Unknown said...

After viewing the two movie clips the compare and contrast towards them is the first movie clip shows what the actual movie while the other clip shows how John and Lorraine are monkeys to Mr.Pignati. The similarity is they both relate to the book ‘The Pigman’. The symbolism I saw was when Lorraine asks Mr. Pignati did he want to donate to the L and J fund. I remember this part from the movie. I believe the first movie clip did a better job symbolizing the book ‘The Pigman’.

Unknown said...

I agree with Myranda, because there was some things that were different from the clip than the books.

Unknown said...

I agree with Derrin, because the movie was good and did persuade me to want to go out and get the movie.

Unknown said...

The first video showed the Pigman and focused more on the Pigman, Lorraine, and John. The second video focused more on John and Lorraine than the Pigmenting the first video a young girl symbolized Lorraine and a young boy symbolized John. In the second video a teenaged boy symbolized John and a teenaged girl symbolized Lorraine. Personally I think neither of the videos showed symbolism throughout the entire thing because it seems as though they ignored the fact a book was made based on the movie, so it was lacking some important symbolism.

Unknown said...

I want to agree with Jamaris, pictures did come to my mind while I was watching the first video and it reminded me of the imagery in the actual book.

Unknown said...

I would like to agree with Tamiya Thomas, in the first trailer you could feel the positive message it sent and in the second trailer you could feel the negativity.

Jay said...

I think that both of the clips showed great symbolism but I like the second clip better because in the beginning of the clip it's titled "Mr.Pignati's Two Monkeys" and I think that shows symbolism because the book actually referred to John and Lorraine as Mr.Pignati's monkeys.

Unknown said...

I agree yet disagree with Kendra because the first clip does give more detail but I like the second clip because it gives alot of symbolism.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Jaylan A. because in the first movie trailer showed the most drama and it sybolized the most .

Unknown said...

I disagree with Makenzie because in the first video didn't really focus on the pigman .

the two trailers show the ups and downs of the story but they are different because the first one is deeper and has more emotion. The first one has more symbolism because it shows how Lorranie and John are tow very different people

The two movie trailers are the same because they both display the connection between John and Lorraine. They are both different because in the first clip it shows the pigman and what he might look like and the second clip doesn't feature him at all. The first clip symbolizes friendship and care because it shows the pigman, Lorraine, and John hugging and walking together. The second clip symbolizes love because it manly focuses on John and Lorraine. To me, the first clip symbolized alot of things like love, friendship, care, and family. The way it symbolized these things is when John and Lorraine kissed, John and Lorraine helped the Pigman when he fell, and when they strolled around the park together.

Anonymous said...

These two movie trailers are similar because:
• They both have John and Lorraine
• They both have the parts when John and Lorraine fall in love.
• They both appear that they are in their 70s or 80s because of their clothes, John’s cigarette lighter, and the typewriter. These two movie trailers are different because:
• The second movie trailer doesn’t talk about the pigman unlike the first one.
• The second movie trailer, in my opinion, only talks about John and Lorraine falling in love, when the first one talks about that and even more.
• In the first trailer, I saw what I read in my copy of the book, but in the second, not so much. (this is in my opinion)
• The John and Lorraine in the first trailer are younger than the ones in the second trailer. In the first clip I saw the symbolisms:
• The friendship of the pigman, John and Lorraine symbolizes a big jar of gorilla glue, the sticky kind that can fix a bridge with just 3 drops. That’s how close their bond is.
• The typewriter symbolizes all the stories yet to type.
• John and Lorraine holding hands represents something new that should have started a long time ago. In the second clip I saw the symbolisms:
• Mr. Pignati’s two monkeys (anyone should have read that and knew it was a symbol) represent his playful pals John and Lorraine. In my opinion clip one did a better job symbolizing because you can see what happened in the book more easily when visualizing what you read with all the symbols clip one gave you.

Unknown said...

The first one shows a lot of rcemblance to the book because u can see the sceans that we read like when mr pignati and the kids were going to the zoo.

Unknown said...

I agree with Lydia S. because the first clip does show the most drama and symbolism and the connection between John and Lorraine.

Unknown said...

To add to my last comment, the videos symbolize friendship and kindness because; John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati shared all of the friendship and kindness they shared together. I would say video number 1 symbolized more because; it showed Mr. Pignati, John, and Lorraine together hanging out and having a fun time.

Unknown said...

I agree with James M. because the first clip really did show more emotion between the Pigman, Lorraine, and John.

Unknown said...

I disagree with Derrin because in the second video it didn't show Mr. Pignati and it also didn't show any signs of memory to my point of view.

Anonymous said...

i disagree with Lyndia S. when you disagreed with Mckenzie because the first film focuses on the pigman more than the second clip. The second clip didn't even have the Pigman in it!

Unknown said...

The two movie trialer are similar because 1.They both have a John and Lorraine.
2.They show Mr. Pignati fall from a heart attack
3. They both show John and Lorraine fall in love.
4.John lights a cigarette.
Difference
1.The first shows a youger John and Lorraine.
2.The second shows a more older version.
3.The first one showed Mr. Pignati, John, Lorraine friendship.
4.The second one showed more of John and Lorraine falling in love.
5.The first trailer symbolizes friendship and happiness.
6.The second trailer symbolizes love and hope.

Unknown said...

I think. they're similar because they both reflect the pigmans effect on Lorraine and john .they are different because the first clip really focused. on the pigman and a lot of drama. the pigman it symbolizes the trouble Larraine and john went through. the second clip does not give alot about the pigman and its not very clear on which character is which so I think that the first clip will satisfy a lot of curious veiwers. the second clip however will not show a lot of detail which will leave veiwers wanting more.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron B. because the first video showed what happened in the actual book. Plus, it symbolizes more to John and Lorraine about the things they did to or with Mr. Pignati. Thank you Cameron you get it for my point of view!

Unknown said...

I think the first clip was more helpful about the book it showed more info that came from the book.
But, to me I really think the second clip was more interesting even though it contained no real info from the book it was still more interesting(MY OPINION).

Anonymous said...

I agree, yet disagree with Jayla A. because the second clip does symbolize that but that is all the symbolism I saw in my opinion. And in the first clip, you could follow along with the book but the second clip was interesting.

Unknown said...

I agree with Cameron Brown because she gets at my point of view of how the first clip showed more scenes from the book then the second clip.
I strongly disagree with Lyndia Stinson when shhe disagreed with Mackenzie because the first clip focuses on the pigman and the second clip has nothing about the pigman

Unknown said...

I agree because it really does seems more specific than the second clip

Anonymous said...

I'd like to add onto my disagreement with Lyndia and say Mckenzie didn't say that clip one focuses only on the pigman but also on John and Lorraine along with him.

Unknown said...

I agree with tayma because the clip really does reflect freindship

Anonymous said...

Sorry for disagreeing with you again Lyndia (im not trying to start any mess) but when you disagreed with Jaylan, I felt you were saying that the first clip is the best is a fact when really its your opinionjust like she had her opinion about likeing clip 2 the most.

Anonymous said...

I believe that the first trailer was great, however the second trailer was exceptional with the animations and details. The first trailer shows John and Lorraine and doesn't even show the Pigman. John and Lorraine look older. On the second trailer it shows the kids and the Pigman. The second trailer is better than the first trailer, because it actually shows the man that is is the name of the book! I hope there is a movie for "The Pigman". The trailers really had me on the edge of my seat.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin because the first clip had more symbolism, however on the second clip I couldn’t understand what was going on.

Anonymous said...

I totally disagree with Hunter Gaines, because not the whole trailer was about John and Lorraines love for each other.

Anonymous said...

I disagree with Caleb Bush, because I could understand the second trailer perfectly.Too me the second trailer had perfect details.

Anonymous said...

I disagree with Jalanda Mathews, because the two videos aren't similar to me.

Unknown said...

I think both the first clip and second clip are similar because the symbolization between each clip is dealing with the effect John and Lorraine had through high school. However the difference between the first clip and the second clip was first clip really gave a better image on what actually happened in the story verses the second clip. To me the first clip did a better job with displaying symbolism throughout the movie trailer because if I was a person who didn’t read the Pigman my first thought what be what is it about in which I think the first clip gave a better image of.

Unknown said...

I would like to disagree with Kennedy Jenkins what if you was a person who didn’t read the Pigman would you think the first clip or second clip gave a better image of the story. Keep in mind you read this book already.

Unknown said...

I would like to disagree with Kourtney Burk because even though the first clip showed more information I thought the second clip did to just not as much as the first clip.

Unknown said...

I think the first clip is different from the clip 2 because its like a old school setting type of movie with different characters.I think clip 2 is different from clip 1 because the setting is not a school just like a home to home type of setting with different characters. The only really symbol I saw in the first clip was the sign on the girl school uniform. In clip 2 I saw candles but not to many symbols. Really I dont know which one is better in symbols but overal the second clip is present type of setting so thats the on I like better.

Unknown said...

In my opinion, I think that the 1st Pig-man Movie Trailer was the same as the 2nd one because they both show different parts of what I have read in some chapters. They are different because the fist Movie Trailer shows more of the actions and characters such as John's father, the Pig-man, and how he passed. The way this action and characters effect the viewing of each is because if someone who had no idea of what they were watching, the would catch on by watching the first video. The first and second video showed symbolism of insecurity in Lorraine and carelessness in John, because the descriptions in the book well describe these characters of what they were acting as. The first video was the best because it showed how John's father attitude was, how Lorraine was shy, when they told Mr. Pignati about the L & J Fund, when Lorraine and John finally met Mr. Pignati, as well as when he had a heart attack. These details were good evidence from the story to tell an outsider who has no idea of what is going on by the way they met Mr. Pignati and from when he had a heart attack.

Unknown said...

I think the first video clip was better because it gave more feeling to the story. The videos are alike because they both have John and Lorraine in it, but the first one had Mr. Pignati in it and that gives it that little spark. The first video clip did a better job displaying symbolism because it showed most of the parts we read about in the story and had more life to it than the second one.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin Fields, because in video one you could tell who Lorraine,John, and Mr. Pignati were.

Unknown said...

I agree with Madision Clay, because
she states " The first trailer shows John and Lorraine and dosen't even show the pigman".

Unknown said...

I agree with Mahogany because in the second video it mostly showed John and Lorraine. (The movie is called The Pigman, so where is he.)

Unknown said...

After viewing the two movie trailers,in the first clip it shows more details than the second clip. In the first clip you can tell who John,Mr. Pignati, and Lorraine are. In the second clip you only see John and what he was going through. Both of the clips appear to be in the 70s or 80s because of their clothes, John’s cigarette lighter, and the typewriter. In the first clip it shows various events that happened in my copy of the book. Mr. Pignati’s two monkeys represent his playful pals John and Lorraine. Clip one did a better job symbolizing because you can see what happened in the book more easily when visualizing what you read with all the symbols clip one gave you.

Unknown said...

I belive the first trailor did better than the second one, because in the first trailor it shows more detail about the events that happened in the story.

Unknown said...

I agree with Jamaris because the book and the movie both make pictures and questions pop up in your head.

I think they are the same because they both show clearly who John and Lorraine are.I think they are different because one shows more detail from the actual novel and one doesn't show that much detail from the story and one of the characters for John seemed older and was smoking. The symbolism was mostly how the actors were dressed. The first trailer was better at showing symbolism because it clearly shows that it did not happen recently because the clothes seemed like they were old.

Sawani said...

The first and second clips are alike because they both give off the impression to me that John and Lorraine love Mr.Pignati very dearly. For example, in the first clip you see Lorraine and John at the beach with Mr.Pignati having a great time and enjoying themselves. In the second clip, it shows Lorraine and John very depressed and I can draw the conclusion that they are depressed because of the death of their beloved friend Mr.Pignati. The first and second clip symbolizes the love people have for someone who means a lot to them. The two clips symbolize love because in the first clip they are having fun with Mr.Pignati and in the second clip they are depressed because of the death of Mr.Pignati. I think the last clip did a better job of symbolizing because in the second clip John and Lorraine show more compassion than they do in the first clip because of the death of the beloved “The Pigman.” They seem more gloomy and down-hearted than they do in the first clip which represents their love for The Pigman. Although the second clip shows more symbolism, both of the clips were very heartwarming and compassionate in my opinion.

Both of the trailers were the same because you could tell which was John and Lorraine. They're different because, in the first trailer it showed much more detail. Like the type writer, Mr. Pignati, and the old fashion look. But in the second trailer it just shows John and Lorraine in different scenes, and some of the scenes weren't recognizable.

Unknown said...

I also agree with Tavaris and Sawani.

Unknown said...

I think the first video of the"Pigman" was more interesting. The video showed us many things. The video showed us who John, Lorraine, and the Pigman were. In that video, at that time, John and Lorraine were happy because they met a new friend. In the second video, John and Lorraine were, let's say, sad and depressed. They had lost their friend. There's a difference. But when I watched the second trailer/video it didn't really show me all details, but yet the first video did.

I agree with Sawani and Tamiya Thomas, they explained their reasoning well.

Sawani said...

I strongly disagree with Madison because in her responses I feel it has nothing to do with the questions asked. As an example, the question is how the stories are similar and different. Madison’s response was that, “I believe that the first trailer did a good job, but the second trailer did an even better job with the animations. The first trailer shows John and Lorraine and doesn't even show the Pigman.” Also, the children look older. On the second trailer it shows the kids and the Pigman. In my opinion, this relates to the question but you have to dig a little deeper find your inner self that speaks to you. I mean when Mrs. Lavender asks which clip shows more symbolism her response is that, “Second trailer s better than the second one because it actually shows the man that is the name of the book!” This is very first or second gradish and I feel Madison has way more potential to write a response better than the one she did.

Sawani said...

I strongly disagree with Benjamin Fields because his answer is very weak. He says the second trailer uses stronger symbolism because you can tell who is Mr.PIgnati was and who John and Lorraine are. This is true but once again you have to learn to dig below the surface. You only answered one part of the question and there are three parts of the question. In my opinion, that is not the correct way to answer a three part question with just two sentences. I feel he should have added more to his response because he really only gave you a half of a sandwich when you want a whole sandwich. I feel that Benjamin Fields should have spent more time on his response.

Unknown said...

I agree with Morgan.I think the two trailers were different because in one trailer they were young, but in the second they were tenaged kids. The first trailer is about how John and Lorraine think of each other, and the 2nd is when they met the pigman which turned their life around.

Unknown said...

After viewing the 2 movie trailers here is how they are similar and different.

Similar: They both displayed romance. Also, John and Lorraine were identifable in both clips.

Different: The 1st clip seems to mirror the book, as it relates to the characters. The 1st clip also did a better job displaying symbolism, because it identified so closely to actual events in the book. However, the 2nd clip only focused on John and Lorraine. After reading the book, there's definitely a disconnect present in the 2nd clip.

The symbolism of romance is displayed in both clips by the way John and Lorraine interact with each other; holding hands, the way they look at each other, etc.

I agree with Tavaris B. and Holly D. because the 1st trailer made the book come to life.

L.Lavender said...

Please remember to answer all parts of the questions. You must give examples of symbolism used in each movie trailer. Do not simply state,"The first movie trailer is better because it has better symbolism." You have not proven to me that you can identify symbolism, and you will not receive credit.

Unknown said...

I believe that the first video fit the description of the characters better than the second video.

Unknown said...

I agree with Benjamin b/c the trailer did use symbolism in fact more than the actuall book.

Unknown said...

I disagree with madison Clay because the Pigman was shown in the first trailer.

Unknown said...

In the first trailer it shows how jhon actually looked with long hair, and blue eyes.the first also showed the pigman in it unlike the second. The second trailer wasnt quite accurate when it came to how the characters looked and acted. In both trailers the characters werent exactly how the story described them and the setting of the trailers felt too unreal.

Unknown said...

The movie trailers that I just viewed about “The Pigman” were very interesting, they both included:
• The characters John and Lorraine
• The love between John and Lorraine
• Captions
However, they were different because:
• One included Mr.Pignati, the other didn’t
• One had younger characters, the other had older characters
• One was just about John and Lorraine’s love, the other was about the story
The first Trailer represented a journey. The journey that John and Lorraine took to find out who they really are. They went through a lot to help Mr.Pignati as well as he did for them.
The second trailer represented love. The love between John and Lorraine. To me, this did not explain the love they had with Mr.Pignati; it just showed how they love each other.
If I were to say which trailer did a better job in displaying symbolism, I would say they first one because it included:
• Ways for the viewer to connect
• It actually told more about “The Pigman.”
• It gave a real connection between John, Lorraine, and Mr.Pignati.

Unknown said...

In the first trailer it showed most of the things that happened throughout The Pigman, in the second trailer it was only showing what was happening with John and Lorraine, it didn't have Mr.Pignati in it, it only talked about John and Lorraine's Love. They are similar because they both talk about John and Lorrain's love life. The first trailer is better because it flow right through, the second one is choppy.

Unknown said...

The first clip showed Mr.Pignati in it, and it showed the typewriter witch made the video clip take place in the 60s or 70s just like the story did. It also, didn’t focus on John most of the time it focused on other characters too, like Mr.Conlan. The first video clip gave more information than the second video clip too.
The second clip didn’t give as much information as the first clip did. Also, it didn’t show Mr. Pignati, and it also kept showing John a lot in the clip. It didn’t really take place in the old days like the 60s or 70s, and it didn’t give a lot of events from the story.
They are the same because they both showed events from the book, and they both showed John and Lorraine.
The use of symbolism I saw in the first clip was hard work. I say this, because they put a lot of hard work in it to make it seem like if you are going to see the book come alive. The uses I saw in the second clip was mess. I say this, because it really wasn’t any events from the book shown in the clip. The first clip did a better job at showing symbolism, because it really made you feel that if you read the book and you saw would have lived the book.

I don’t agree with Kennedy, because the second video clip was ok. The first clip showed more events and more characters. So Kennedy I don’t agree with you.

Unknown said...

I agree with Jamar and Trinity. And I say that the first trailer has more of what happened in the book than what the second viedo had, but both videos left something out to me.And My opinion about the second trailer would be more like a video than a MOVIE trailer.

Unknown said...

I strongly disagree with Madison because in her responses I feel it has nothing to do with the questions asked. As an example, the question is how the stories are similar and different. Madison’s response was that, “I believe that the first trailer did a good job, but the second trailer did an even better job with the animations.

I agree with Marcell, because in the second video it really does not give that much detail. Also, I agree with him, because the first video does show better symbolism.

Unknown said...

The clips are the same because the include both John and Lorraine ,yet they are different because the 2nd clip doesn't include The Pigman. The 1st clip shows symbolism in forms of the typewriter symbolizing the age of the book ,but I didn't see any symbolism in the 2nd clip ,the 1st clip did a better job at clearly expressing symbolism.

Unknown said...

The two clips are simular because they both show you how happy John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati are together. The two are different because the first one shows them talking, and having fun with Mr. Pignati. The secound shows the love and care between Jhon and Lorraine. Both of the clips tell and show you really good images but I like the first one better.

Unknown said...

These two movie trailers are similar because. They both have John and Lorraine They both have the parts when John and Lorraine fall in love. These two movie trailers are different because The second movie trailer doesn’t talk about the pigman unlike the first one. The second movie trailer only talks about John and Lorraine falling in love, when the first one talks about that and even more.

Jay said...

I agree with Trinity because the first clip did show alot more details than the second video clip and it shows better symbolism.

I agree with Trinity and Aniya Brown they gave good responses.

The two movie trailers are similar because they both showed emotions that Lorraine and John had for each other but the second really should the feelings that Loraine and John have. The first movie trailer used very strong symbolism which is, John felt soreness in his heart, it really should how John felt deep down inside when he smokes you could see that he was enjoying when he was smoking because he thought that smoking would make all the pain go away all the problems he had with his family. The second trailer didn’t really use as much symbolism it didn’t show any drama and sadness you manly saw the delighted times in the first film there wasn’t any real things you can match to in real life. The first movie trailer did a better job of displaying symbolizing throughout the movie trailer because it showed the most drama and emotions that Lorraine and John had.

Unknown said...

i believe that that both clips show alot of information but the second one was more in detail with the story

Unknown said...

The movies are alike by both of them showing the love between John and Lorraine. The difference was that the first one was clearer. Also the first one really stuck with the real story. I like the first one better. If the second one was up there by itself I wouldn't understand. The symbolism I saw was love and friendship. With them holding hands that showed me that.

Unknown said...

I agree with James And Rachel.

Unknown said...

The movie trailers I just viewed were similar by showing the love that John, and Lorraine
share, yet they were different because one video had younger people in it while the other
video clip had older people in it. I think the first video clip had more symbolism in it
then the second video clip had. I agree with Benjamin F. because like he said you could tell who was who and you could tell it’s going to be a great movie, especially after reading the book.

Unknown said...

I think the first clip was the best because it showed more symbolism throughout the trailer. The two trailers are smilar because they both showed their strong feelings that they had for each other but the emotions that they showed were different.

Unknown said...

The Pigman trailers is different because:
• The picture quality was different
• The second one was confusing because they had different characters.
• Lorraine and John were in totally different places(in the second one).
• The second one didn’t really have anything to do with the book to me .
• The second one didn’t have The Pigman
The Pigman trailers is similar because
• To tell you the truth I really didn’t find anything that were similar with each other

The symbolism showed in the first clip is Mr. Pignati because another girl said he represents a bridge ,and I really understood what she meant because Mr. Pignati was really making John and Lorraine connect, but they thought they were opposites but really opposites attract. To tell the truth I really didn’t get the second one it was really confusing to me. The one that showed the best symbolism is the first clip

Unknown said...

I think the first movie trailer is better because it showed John, Lorraine, and Mr.Pignati's bond. Showing their bond showed what they symbolizes. John symbolizes a trick because he tricks people, even his own family, but not Lorraine and Mr.Pignati. Lorraine symbolizes love because she cares for Mr.Pignati and also cook and clean. Mr.Pignati symbolizes glue because he brought them closer together than they ever been. In the second movie trailer, they did a good job, but Mr.Pignati wasn't in it. Similarities are Lorraine symbolizes love and Lorraine and John are good friends no matter what. Differences are The first movie trailer has every character: Lorraine, John, and Mr.Pignati. Also it has the time when Lorraine made a prank call to Mr.Pignati.

Unknown said...

I agree with Amaya Moultrie because Mr.Pignati did connect John and Lorraine. He made their relationship stronger and better than it was before they met Mr.Pignati. Together, they made a bond that would last forever.

Unknown said...

I would agree with Jamaris A., and Benjaming F. because it showed more details like you could tell who Mr. Pignati was on the first, but not the second. Also on the first trailer it showed the shocking scene were John and Lorraine kiss.

Unknown said...

I agree yet disagree with Marcell B. because the book was good, but it might not turn out as good as the book.It might be good because it is suppose to be based off of the book, but some parts will be left out of the movie. The parts will be skipped.

Unknown said...

The trailer that I liked the most was the first movie because it had scenes that related to the movie like when Lorraine was pranking Mr. Pignati about the L&J Fund. These two trailers are similar because:
They show Lorraine and John.
They show John lights a cigarette.
They show how John and Lorraine fell in love.
The trailers are different because:
In the first clip, they show more scenes about Mr. Pignati.
In the second clip, they show only Lorraine and John.
In the first clip, they showed evidence in the clip that was in the book.
The first and the second clip symbolized a lion that lost a tooth because once Mr. Pignati died John and Lorraine lost a friend that they were really close too and it all started at a simple prank phone call. The last clip was mean't to be deleted.

Unknown said...

I agree with Avante because John and Lorraine did bond with Mr. Pignati.

The difference between the movie trailers is the first movie trailer shows John, Lorraine, and Mr.Pignati and it includes important clips from the book. The second movie trailer only shows John and Lorraine and it doesn't include as many important clips. The similarity between the movie trailers is that they both show clips that I read from the book. In the first trailer, the kiss symbolized the way John and Lorraine feel about each other. In the second trailer, the title,'Mr.Pignat's Two Monkeys", sybolized John and Lorraine. I think the second clip did a better job with displaying symbolism throughout the movie trailers.

Unknown said...

I completely disagree with madison clay because you are getting mixed up with the second and first clip because the first clip showed John, Lorraine, and the pigman. The second clip was the one that only showed John and Lorraine. Also it was the one that showed them older. Maybe they were close to 20 yrs old. But anyways, you are trying to say that the first trailer was " even better. "

Unknown said...

The clips are similar because they both show Lorraine and John. The clips are diffrent because Lorraine and John's characters are different people and only the first clip shows Mr. Pignati. Int he first clip I saw that Lorraine symbolizes maturity and respectfulness to authorities. In the second clip I saw that John symbolizes carelessness about his health and about what he does. The first movie trailer did a better job at symbolism than the second one because the first trailer was more detailed and intersting than the second!

Unknown said...

I agree with Faith because the first clip looked more like the book sounded than the second video.

Unknown said...

I agree with Rachel because the second clip didn't have the full imagery that the first lip and the book had.

Unknown said...

i agree with benjamin because you could tell the characters apart in the first trailer, but symbolism has nothing to do with telling the character apart from each other.

Unknown said...

I agree with Parrish because the first clip was more detailed than the second clip because it had important things from the story.

Unknown said...

The first and second trailers were different because:
.The second one doesn't even show The Pigman
.The first one shows the incident with Mr. Pignati, but in a different setting
.The second one doesn't show Lorrain's true feelings about John.
.The first one doesn't show John's smoking habits
They were similar because:
.Both don't have the Lorraine character to be a little thick

In the first clip, the first type of symbolism I noticed was the typewriter. However, in the second clip I noticed that John was a lost but lonely soul. To me, out of both of the clips, the first did a better job in displaying symbolism because I had to really pay attention and rumage through the second one for symbolism.

Unknown said...

I agree with Parish Wells because the first one really shows the relationship between John and Lorraine by kissing at there date in Mr.Pignati's house.

Unknown said...

I strongly agree with Zaryah Christian. I must have overlooked the title "Mr.Pignati's Two Monkeys". The author calls John and Lorraine Mr.Pignati's monkeys because he fed them just as if they were Bobo or his own children.

Unknown said...

Movie trailer one is different from movie trailer two because on movie trailer one there are younger teenagers and it shows different scenes that were in the book and the things that started it all. Some scenes are:
• When Lorraine makes a prank and ask Mr.Pignati would he like to donate $10 to the L&J Fund
• When Lorraine and John meet Mr.Pignati and they get to know each other better
• When John and Lorraine dress in Mr.Pignati and Mr.Pignati wife’s clothes and have dinner
• When John and Lorraine kiss in the bedroom
• When Mr.Pignati dies in the monkey exhibit

In movie trailer two there are older teenagers. The only scenes it shows are:
• When John smokes
• When John and Lorraine dress in Mr.Pignati and Mr.Pignati wife’s clothes and have dinner
• When they visit Mr.Pignati who is in the hospital
• When they go to Mr.Pignati house
They are similar because they both show the scene when John and Lorraine dress in Mr.Pignati and Mr.Pignati wife’s clothes and have dinner. In the first clip John, Lorraine and Mr.Pignati symbolize a great big family that lives happily ever after. The second clip symbolizes the love that John and Lorraine had. Movie clip one better displayed symbolism through out the movie trailer because it showed the main scenes that were in the book The Pigman.

Both of the movie trailers are different, yet they are similar. The first movie trailer seemed to have targeted all the important parts of the novel. It also gave a brief summary on what the story is about. Unlike the first movie trailer, the second movie obviously focused on how John and Lorraine began to fall in love with each other instead of constantly focusing on the main idea of the whole novel, their experience with Mr. Pignati. Also in the second movie trailer John’s and Lorraine’s personalities seemed to be switched around. John seemed to have been the shy one and Lorraine would be the outstanding individual. This also seemed to have slightly occurred in movie trailer one, but not as much as movie trailer two. Some of the few things that both of the movie trailers appeared to share were the difference they captured the two than described in the book. In movie trailer one they appeared to be younger than described and in movie trailer two older. From each movie trailer there were some examples of symbolism that stood out to me. One example of symbolism from movie trailer one was the typewriter. To me it symbolized the story being told of their wonderful experience with Mr. Pignati. Also, another example of symbolism was the glass of wine. That symbolized the enjoyable relationship John and Lorraine had discovered with each other. One of the last examples from movie trailer one that I loved was the land line telephone. It symbolized the one and very only link that connected John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati together. The second movie trailer appeared to only have to examples of symbolism to me. The first one was the title. Mr. Pignati’s Two Little Monkeys symbolizes how childish Lorraine and John became while around Mr. Pignati. The other example was the un-lit melted candle. Personally, I feel this represents how John’s and Lorraine’s love for each other was frozen in time at the moment. Movie trailer one had better symbolism because of how the symbolism actually related a lot to the story.

Unknown said...

I agree with Kourtney Burk because John,Lorraine and Mr.Pignati do have a strong bond

Unknown said...

I agree with Makayla Cole because the first clip do seem to target the most important parts in the novel.

Unknown said...

I strongly disagree with Makenzie R. since the symbolization she gave was reality. John is a young boy and Lorraine is a young girl.

Unknown said...

I agree with Charleston W. It wasn’t a simple job to find symbolism from the second movie trailer. You had to pay very close attention to notice the few examples of symbolism from movie trailer two.

Malik Childrey 6b said...

They are different because in the first clip you saw the Pigman and in the second clip you didn't see him. they are also different because first clip had more detail referring to the text and in the second clip it doesn't show Lorraine's true feelings about John. They are similar because both clips had John and Lorraine in them. Both clips symbolize John and Lorraine's love for the Pigman and each other.

Unknown said...

I agree because the first clip is more specific than the second clip.

Unknown said...

They are different because in the first clip you see the Mr. Pignati and the second clip you don't see him. Also the two are the same because you see John and Lorraine in both clips and they are seen alot. John and Lorraine symbolizes love and happiness toward each other .

Unknown said...

In my opinion, the two movie trailers are alike because they both have clips of where Lorraine and John showed how much they loved for Mr. Pignati. For example, in the first movie trailer Lorraine and John show how much they love Mr. Pignati by having fun at the beach with him. In the second movie clip, they were sad because they had lost their best friend Mr. Pignati. The trailers are different because in the first movie clip, they were always with Mr. Pignati, but in the second movie clip, they were not with Mr. Pignati because he had died. The first and second clip symbolizes love because you may never know how much you love someone until you loose them. I think the second clip displays symbolism better because it shows how much John and Lorraine felt so miserable without Mr. Pignati.

Unknown said...

I strongly disagree with Madison Clay because in first trailer they do show Mr. Pignati he is the old man who slipped and fell while they were on the beach. You also didn’t tell me what the clips symbolized which led me to not understand your response.

Unknown said...

I totally agree with Sawani Jackson because they showed their love for Mr. Pignati by hanging out with him every single day, but once Mr. Pignati died they went back to their regular lives John started smoking again and Lorraine started to be an outsider. They were depressed and upset.
